Congratulations, Harold "Kageh" Hess! - February 10th 2003

Coming out of losers in dramatic fashion Kageh took two sets from FetZ to become the Soul Calibur II National Champion. Kageh employed pure skill taking a character that nobody thought could win Nationals all the way to the top. Once again, congratulations and best of luck at the Super Battle Opera in Tokyo, Japan.

National Championship - Las Vegas - February 8th 2003

Namco America is proud to announce the final date for our National Soul Calibur II tournament. The North American Champion will be crowned in Las Vegas, at: Texas Station on February 8th, 2003. Two custom Japanese-style cabinets will be used with Japanese controls; however, attendants may also bring their own PlayStation 2 compatible controller.

The tournament bracket is now online with the first round matches dropped. The seeding of the matches is based on which regional tournament the players qualified at and the final tournament rankings. So it is entirely possible players from the same geographical area will face each other right away during the National Tournament if one of them traveled to another Regional Tournament to qualify.
This bracket could possibly be updated real time at the day of the event if an internet connection is available at the tournament location.

Regional Level (November)

This season the Regional events are unofficially uncapped. This means any and all will be taken in. However, the final call on this is based on the whims of the host locations. Once again, securing your seat is wisest, but not at all required.
The top four from Regional events move on to the National event. There are eight total Regional events that will produce a clean thirty-two man event in the National event. All Regional events will commence promptly at 1:00 PM. Be on time and ready.
Regional prizes will include the usual assortment of t-shirts, posters, and key chains we have provided in the past as well as the common travel voucher and gift packs for the participants that arrive at the National event. As before, to encourage attendance, vouchers can only be redeemed at the National event.

Local Level (July through Oct 31st)

Each registered location may run up to four Local qualifying tournaments. The champion and runner-up seats are then registered at the Regional event of their choice. The importance of the Local events is they guarantee the seat at the Regional event. Regional events are open to the public and walk-ins will be accepted. However, they will be accepted as long as the host location permits and assuming the players arrive on time. Therefore, Local winners benefit in a worry-free Regional seat.
Each location received a Local winner registration card in their Soul Calibur II kit. If they cannot find or no longer have this card, as long as the tournament is shown in the Guild system operators can e-mail Jason with the results.
Local level prizes are the responsibility of the host location.
