hey guys!

today's session was an absolute blast! it's been more than a month since the official release of the game, and i'm glad that we could finally all meet up together. the turnout was spectacular, and it was great to see both new and old faces having fun and being crazy.

i'd like to thank each and every one of you who came down today; it was a great show of support for the community at large. also, i'd like to offer a great deal of thanks to aheda for lugging his console down, and raymus, jovian and dtarchon from providing the sticks. kudos to boogalogist for bringing snacks as well!

and i'm happy to announce that from now on, we'll be holding monthly sessions at batou's place. while i can't confirm this at the moment, i'd like for us to set these sessions at every 1st saturday of the month. so look forward to more crazy console sessions!

Canadian 2 for 1 Pizza should be shot.
A Herbal Sausage pizza with so little sausage a couple of people thought it was vegetarian (trying to spread the blame)

It was potato chips? BOOO!

REAL MEN EAT CALBEE JAGABEE POTATO! (Look for it, its this french fry shaped snack sold in a little sealed cup. Available in a lot of retails here lol. Rated no.1 snack amongst Japanese men.)

I'm too busy plotting to steal a PS3 for the release of the improved Eternal Sonata... (360 version one has pretty much sealed itself as the first JRPG I've been addicted to.. My virginity T.T)

In the meantime I'm playing Tales of Vesperia to keep away the shivers... I NEED MY PLAYABLE CRESENDO AND SERENADE COMBI NAAAAOOOOOOO.....

ok based on the 3 references, I need to find a jacket that looks like what Ellen is wearing, from picture 3, Ellen is the one on the top, 3rd from left (in case anyone doesn't know who ellen is ^^; oh ya its the jacket with the fluffy collar~)

Console Session this week
Date: 13th September 2008, Saturday
Time: Anytime, this will set a benchmark to when I open and close my house in future.
What Is Available: My Room + TV, PS3, PS3 Stick; Living Room + TV.
What Is Required: 1 x PS3 stick, 1 More Console + 2 More sticks.

Batou, if you are bringing a projector, we can probably setup another set.

So here we go, post up your names and we'll see how this turns out.

edit: k i've just read the other post, since aheda brought the console the last time, maybe we could get someone else to bring it this time? if dtarchon, batou (but i think his xbox is down for repairs) or someone near my house can offer to bring the console and/or sticks, i can fetch us to rein's place.

Last Saturday's session was great. I can go for this Saturday's session too...however, there's a slight problem. I'll only be available from early morning until 3 pm....as I've already made a date with my wife (Yeah...to compensate for my late outing last Saturday with you guys!

)

I can also bring along my PS3 (sorry, no sticks)...but at 5kg, it's a bloody beast. Transportation assistance will be highly appreciated.

not sure if anyone knew this, but in the Japan PSN, they've put up a "Combo" exhibition, most combos i'm sure we know already though, or have better ones lol, but just in case you wanna see ^^;

hey guys, i was thinking since it's kinda confusing to have to post on both 8wr.com and cf.com, i'd like to post future monthly sessions (and perhaps all official sessions) on soulsg.blogspot.com, our old soul sg blog.

with the shens' permission, i'd like to upload all vids of sg players to the blog as well, so that it becomes a one-stop information point for anybody searching for soul sg-related material. we could place the link on our 8wr.com and cf.com sigs to let newcomers and anyone else who's interested know about it.

a bit of background on soulsg.blogspot.com: it was created for the now-defunct versus league, held at the bugis virtualand arcade for multiple games, including sc3:ae. results, characters strats, player thoughts and all soul sg-related material were posted there. somewhere along the way, it kinda died and i ended up posting comedy vids instead

what do you guys think?

hey guys, farp has come up with a basic blog at soulsg.wordpress.com. i plan to import all the old entries from soulsg.blogspot.com there, and post announcements for tourneys/console sessions and vids there. i'd like our progress to be dynamic; please let us know how you feel about anything and everything related to the blog!
