Not a rule but since online sucks anyways unless I'm havin fun w/a friend I won't take anything less than a 5.

Where is Bridgeport?

To Japan the best from US West Coast is 4 bar with a 3 bar or less for the rest of the US.

I know mosta the JP playas pretty much stick to 5 bars too.

My TE Mad Catz stick came today- no time to test it or to look at it much. Will switch out the buttons ASAP.

EDITs
Losta stuff updated:
http://www.tekken-official.jp/tekken6/index.html

Halo Enclyclopedia (US English, not released in Japan)=got
It's big and even includes ODST. Great!

Changed out 5 buttons in the Mad Catz. Even changed the extra bottom (Tekken) button (did that in all my controllers, both HRAPs (360 and PS3); although now I don't need to. In any case good for a spare button).

The old buttons say Sanwa in two places and even have gold connectors. My Sanwa OBSN-30RGs that I bought in Japan don't even have that! It's almost like the Mad Catz Sanwas are tryin too hard to be Sanwas (haha).
The connectors even have plastic covers. Inside wirin looks nice and clean, all around looks like a good quality stick.
It's lighter than a HRAP and has a nicer design (well the new HRAPs look like the TE).

The buttons were easy to change. Under the buttons there's another board (which also has holes in it). You have to make sure the long switches on the buttons are turned right to fit in the holes (or the top won't fit on).

I took the rubber feet off (a lot nicer in your lap now) and changed the stick ball (clear bubble type)- modifications complete.
I have a new XBL mic (with just the mini connector) and it plugs right into the Mad Catz (it also has a adapter for the other kind of connector).
You can choose Dpad or L/R stick for the stick on the Mad Catz. For SCIV L or Dpad works (is there any difference? it didn't seem like it).
The instructions say you have to have it on Dpad for the XBL menus so I just left it on that).

I got online and got some SCIV in
Made a new friend in Sapporo.
Played and talked to DuskOnaka. Went 2-2 with him once.
Need more prac and play time to get the rust off.

Didn't see any 5 bar rooms or Ranked when I checked, there will probably be even less online playas after T6 hits next Thurs.

Sorry for not givin you time/leavin you Talim but I'm back now- for good.

SLA- If you look here- every one else went to Tekken Zaibatsu.

Seems to be just me in here now.

EDITs
Hori's got T6 HRAPs comin:
http://www.hori.jp/products/multi/multi_tekken6/top/

Pics from the last TGN:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/3053738...7622611821554/
Dusk said the next one should be in Jan (and oosaka said it'll probably have T6).

Sounds like the Japanese playas do go to other's houses on the weekend to play some offline SCIV. Maybe when I get some free time I'll join em.

Two Arcadia vids. Top one shows some of the T6 matches that are on the DVD included with this month's Arcadia mag:
http://ebten.jp/p/4910114471299/

Top ten games from arcadiamagazine.com (and I see Blazblue Continuum Shift is comin end of Nov):
1. Tekken6 BLOODLINE REBELLION / 356.1pt. pts.
2. Gundam VS. Gundam NEXT/ 352.8pt. pts.
3. Blazblue/ 201.3pt. pts.
4. MELTY BLOOD Actress Again/ 194.6pt. pts.
5. GUILTY GEAR XX ∧CORE/ 168.9pt. pts.
6. STREET FIGHTER IV/ 110.8pt. pts.
7. Sugoi! Arcana Heart2/ 98.5pt. pts.
8. Virtua Fighter5R/ 78.2pt. pts.
9. Daemon Bride/ 75.8pt. pts.
10. STREET FIGHTER III 3rd Strike/ 45.5pt. pts.

Namco has the top two- good work!

Canceled my Amazon JP preordered Tekken 6.

U.S. reviews of T6 console around the 8.4 (Gametrailers)-8.8 (IGN) range.

EDITs
Some of the JP SC playas were playin T6 console.
Verified the slow load times and that SC is better online (but T6 may be patched).
And ya no record function in prac mode.

Yep, it's my name to the end (and it didn't/won't change no matter what game I play).

Got the stick cause it's good. If another good stick came out I'd buy it too but with a PS3 HRAP, 360 HRAP and the 360 Mad Catz SFIV TE (each with 5 Sanwa OSBF-30-RG buttons and colored see-through Seimitsu LB-39 ball tops) I think I'm set till the next gen of machines.

Hopin for some prac today. Home a little early from work.

EDITs
Put the new stick through the paces (like it).

Got online. Were no Ranked at one point. Finally one 55. He beat me once but then I beat him.

Played a bunch against DuskOnaka's Taki. He mostly won but I got a few (rounds) but I won when he used another character (Setsuka).
His Taki's tough online.

35.66 km about 2 hours; Hanamigawa River cycling course + the dirt road.
The winds cut about 10 km/hr off my speed on the way back- ya I rode in that (REALLY Kaze O!).

I saw a para surfer jump about 3m in the air- they and the wind surfers are really livin it up.

EDITs
Got online.
Practically no 5 bars in Ranked- T6 killed us.
Got in some 5 bar rooms (3 or 4) for a while. Good prac but I mostly lost (Cervy, X, Raplh).
Let my son (with some of his wacky characters) try too takin one guy on too- added "If it's not Talim it's my 13 year old son (thanks)." in my XBL profile.

See I got bad marks on XBL for aggressiveness (from before when I used to hit people after killin em) and quittin early- I think sometimes my son/wife comes home and I have to answer/unlock the door (so I have to leave for a sec). I come back but by then they took me for a round. (Course I use my key when I come home). I don't leave the game though...

Met Wat0son tonight (been awhile!) in Tokyo and had a nice albeit short chat.

And who did we run into but Mr. Aoi.
He designed a Dream C Club car that's now a free DL for Forza 3!
Alright man!

Want to ride my bike tomorrow (today now) for the holiday (Japan's Constitution Day) but it's probably gonna be too cold and/or rainy- SCIV time! (and maybe some ODST)

Got some mornin SCIV in (prac, Tower, Ranked).
Many people on T6 (console).

Thinkin of cyclin even though the high's only gonna be 14 degrees (kinda cold). At least it's sunny.

Maybe go to Lala Port and get a cycling wind breaker (about 15,000 Yen).
Need winter cycling wear... (special clothes are a little expensive though- need em cause they block the wind, cold and rain but the fabric's breathe so you don't get too hot).

EDITs
Ordered the last 2 DVDs I don't have from Ko-hatsu in Osaka.
http://www.ko-hatsu.com/

On a sad note Ko-hatsu's November schedule doesn't have any SCIIIAE events.
Guess they are done with the monthly ranking battles.

Thanks for all the fun timez you gave me Ko-hatsu!

26.27km today and there was a (5m/s?) wind practically all the way to LalaPort (took a little < than 1hr40min round trip).
So with my Sun total I've got over 60km!

Got a long-sleeved light jacket (good for down to 15 degrees) for about 10,000 Yen.
On the way there my water bottle burst (the side cracked open!) cause it was so cold (and the bottle was old) so I had to buy a new one of those as well.

Wanna lose weight so will try some new rules- only once through the line at night (no seconds).
Don't feed the bears. (?!)

Got a PM yesterday from Malek.
He was wonderin about the Japanese interest in the Cannes comp they will be havin in March.

I know one of oosaka's friends was interested (and I mailed him the info) but I haven't heard anything since then.
Mailed oosaka to see if any of the JP playas are interested.

Malek said Dominican Republic, Singapore, Europe, Germany, Italy Switzerland, UK, Australia, Canada, Greece, The Netherlands and Poland will probably have playas there.

Russia and Korea are like Japan, probably no one goin.

Malek seemed disappointed that once again no Japanese would be there.
I told him that money and getting time off from work are probably the biggest factors as to why Japanese playas don't travel.

Hey Talim, looks like your loyal to your game. That's really good. I remembered I tried to get you into Tekken back in the day.

I don't play too much now, mainly because I don't own a console! Damn.. still don't have enough money for it... or don't find it worthy for just one game since I don't play video games in general.

I would love to play though, once I get it I'll let you know. Definitely gonna get SC4, and T6.

If you get a 360 then I'm down for some SCIV.

Cycle Mode expo (comin next month at Kaihin Makahari). I'll probably be goin:
http://www.cyclemode.net/english_2009/

T6PSP has a date for 1/14/2010 and it the HP says there's (gonna be) a patch for T6 online:
http://www.tekken-official.jp/tekken6/index.html

No date for the next TGN yet but it seemed like Mr. Aoi knew something about it.

33.79 Km for a total of 95.72 km (in about 5.5 hrs) for the week!
Saw many praying mantises today (took some pics).
I may ride again tomorrow; don't know yet.
Only got passed by two bikes- a Bianchi and a Gios (both road bikes). Man if I had one...

Hopin for some ODST and SCIV this weekend...

Bought my ticket for Cycle Mode (1,000 Yen for early ticket)- will probably go 12/13 cause I work on the Sat (I'd be nice to go Sat cause they'll have BMX guys doin tricks on a half-pipe. Me and my bro used to love watchin their insane tricks).
The test a bike is at a nearby track and only for mountain bikes so I may not do that.
Trek will have a booth so I wanna check that out.

Went to Bic Camera today.

Well no matter what the reviews say- T6 is D4 (says so on the box) so it is like almost all other fighters (not D5).

Bic had the Mad Catz TE Fighter Pad (360 version) for 4,060 Yen:
http://www.biccamera.com/bicbic/jsp/...=4582168242103

And finally someone (Cyber) made a PS2 to 360 adapter for 2,200 Yen:
http://www.biccamera.com/bicbic/jsp/...=4544859009846
Cyber HP (JP only):
http://home.cybergadget.co.jp/produc...859009846.html
Looks like you have to use a wired 360 controller as well. It'd be nice to know how much lag there is (it must have some).

T6 HRAP (11,510 Yen for the 360 version):
http://www.biccamera.com/bicbic/jsp/...=4961818012011

And I think WCMaxi's doin a good job helpin everyone with their T6BR game so I think I'll post over there and tell him.
We tried to help each other when we played SCIV but not to the extent that he is now (good job!).

Got some SCIV in today.

Met another foreign playa (good Mitsu, level 200 something) that lives North of here. Told him he can come here or that there's TGN. Friended.

Saw a vid of Kayane (French girl, pro X playa) doin an exhibition in France. She's gotten even cuter! Sent her a friend request as well although the connection w/France must be bad. Think we've talked a little in the past so she may know who I am (she used to be a Talim playa).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wylr3mUyCPQ

Beat a 180 level Mina. Second time he beat me.

EDITs
Forgot to say that I also got in a room with Orion's Hilde. Beat him the first game but then he beat me after that. Our last game was strange- it was a 5 bar but the input lag was real bad. Orion jumped out of the ring so we could end it.

On a food note- Had burritos, tostadas and taco salad today. Got the Rosarita refried beans, taco seasoning, tortillas, guacamole and salsa from Costco. Sour cream on top, eaten with milk (I usually drink tea but milk it's gotta be here).
Delish!

There's not many girls that I know playin SC in Japan.

The foreign one's that I have had the pleasure of playin have been very fun to SC with.

And they almost ALWAYS kick my butt.

Kayane's a very good playa and she probably can beat most guys.

Probably some cyclin today, although it looks kinda windy...

EDITs
Went out for a ride- 26.21 km; was a little windy.
Fun times- cycling and SCIV= happy.

Talked for a long time to the (Lala Port) Seo Cycle guy.
Will probably buy a pole that you can put in your house to hang bikes on this week.
He said Cannondale's are also good. They are actually handmade in the US (the Trek I was lookin at was made in Taiwan).
Found a nice one (the Caad 9.5) that I like. Comes in pretty blue as well (my color).
Around 200,000 Yen; how am I gonna pursuade boss?
